With so many challenges faced in communities – whether that’s the fall-out of Covid, the climate crisis, or cost of living – we are so proud to know that our funded partners are bringing strength and support to people who need it most. 

This year, we’re celebrating their work through a film created by our partners themselves!

2023 in numbers

We fund organisations and individuals across the UK to help achieve our Future Communities Vision – a vision of what fairer communities look like in 10 years’ time, which we developed with 100 young people. 

In 2023, we awarded £2.8m to 27 amazing organisations, including:

Co-operating for future communities

Communities, like co-operatives, are built by the people within them. Co-op Foundation had an amazing year – creating opportunities for organisations which support our communities and also our young people, empowering them to create their own positive change in their local area. The work delivered by Co-op Foundation in 2023 has been meaningful, impactful and critical, to establish communities that are fit for the future.
