About the funding
We work with organisations that tackle the root causes of complex issues to create lasting change. Through our systemic change funding, we provide multi-year, unrestricted grants that enable organisations to build capacity and focus on the work that delivers long-term impact.
This funding complements our grant making programmes by investing in organisations that are helping to shift systems, influence policy and practice, and create conditions for wider social change.
Our funding is guided by our Future Communities Vision, developed by young people. We support organisations that are building diverse, equitable, and inclusive communities, with a focus on shifting power to young people.
Meet our systemic change partners
Young Trustees Movement
Young Trustees Movement, hosted by The Social Change Nest, are transforming charity leadership by increasing the representation of trustees aged 30 and under – creating intergenerational boards that reflect the diversities and realities of communities. By supporting young people into trustee roles and highlighting their impact, YTM is proving that young people are not only a nice to have, but an essential part of a successful and high-performing board. We are supporting Young Trustees Movement with £40,000 over two years, until Autumn 2027.
Lead the Change
We’re proud to be part of a new collaborative fund joining BBC Children in Need, Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, Henry Smith Foundation, Joseph Levy Foundation, Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Postcode Justice Trust, UK Community Foundations and The National Lottery Community Fund to support young people to tackle hate and division in their communities. We contributed £250,000 to this £3.4m, three-year initiative which aims to address the systemic issues causing division in communities through amplifying young people’s voices and nurturing young community leaders.
